Leaks by Plumber On Demand

Some leaks are obvious. Others hide behind walls, under floors or in ceilings until the damage shows. Plumber On Demand finds leaks quickly and repairs them properly, for homes and businesses across Ontario, so water damage stays limited.

Leaks we find and fix

  • Pipe leaks from pinholes, corrosion, cracked fittings and failed joints
  • Hidden leaks behind walls, under floors and above ceilings
  • Fixture leaks at toilets, faucets, showers and sinks
  • Appliance leaks from dishwashers, washing machines, fridges and water heaters
  • Valve leaks at shutoffs, the main valve and pressure reducing valves

Signs of a hidden leak

Watch for a water bill that rises without explanation, stains or bubbling paint on walls or ceilings, warped flooring, a musty smell, or the sound of running water when nothing is on. A simple check is to turn off every fixture and look at your water meter. If it is still moving, water is going somewhere.

Finding the leak without tearing everything open

We use the clues on site, pressure testing and targeted inspection to pinpoint where the leak is before opening anything up. That keeps any wall or ceiling openings small and the repair focused on the actual failure.

Repair and prevention

Once the leak is found, we repair or replace the failed pipe, fitting or fixture and test the system under pressure. If the leak caused damage, our water damage restoration team can help. For homes, see emergency leak and burst pipe repair, and for businesses, emergency commercial leak repair.

Leak Detection and Repair FAQs

How can I tell if I have a hidden water leak?

Turn off all water fixtures and appliances, then check your water meter. If it keeps moving, there is likely a leak. Rising bills, stains and musty smells are other signs.

Will you have to open my walls to find a leak?

Not always. We narrow down the location first so any opening is as small as possible and only where the leak is.

Is a small drip worth fixing right away?

Yes. Small leaks can damage wood, drywall and flooring over time and can lead to mould. Fixing them early is almost always cheaper.
