How Plumber On Demand Works
Calling a plumber should not feel like a mystery. This page explains what happens after you reach Plumber On Demand, from the first call through dispatch, the visit, and the invoice. The process is the same for a clogged drain at 2 a.m. and for a booked repair during the day.
We are a 24/7 emergency plumbing company. You can call 1-888-449-7444 any hour, or send a request through our contact form if the job can wait for a callback.
1. You Call Or Send A Request
Tell dispatch what is happening, the address, and how urgent it is. A toilet overflowing, a burst pipe, a sewage backup, or no heat in winter is treated as an emergency. A dripping faucet or a planned fixture swap can be scheduled.
Have these details ready if you can:
- The city and a callback number that will pick up
- Whether water can be shut off, or if it is already off
- Whether the problem is a drain, a leak, no hot water, gas, HVAC, or a wet basement
- Any access notes, such as a locked gate or a basement tenant
If you are a member, say so on the call so dispatch can apply priority and the membership billing rules.
2. Dispatch Confirms The Job
Dispatch confirms the address, the type of work, and the arrival window. For emergencies we aim to be at your door in 45 minutes when a technician is available in that area. That is the target, not a guarantee on every call. Weather, traffic, and how many emergencies are already open can change the window, and we will tell you if the time moves.
You will get a confirmed phone number to call back if something changes before we arrive.
3. The Technician Arrives And Inspects
The technician checks in, looks at the problem, and explains what they found in plain language. If a camera inspection, leak search, or a second access point is needed, they will say so before that extra work starts.
You approve the next step before we cut, open a wall, or replace a fixture. If you want a second option, ask. We would rather pause than do work you did not agree to.
4. You Approve The Work And The Price
Once the cause is clear, you get a price for the repair or the next diagnostic step. Members have the callout fee waived on membership service visits and receive 15 percent off the service invoice. Non-members pay the standard service rates for the work that is approved.
If the job is larger than a same-visit repair, such as waterproofing, underpinning, or a full drain replacement, we outline the scope and the next visit instead of rushing a guess.
5. We Complete The Job And Leave The Area Clean
After you approve, the technician does the work, tests the line or fixture, and walks you through what was done. We clean the work area and tell you if a part is temporary, if a follow-up is needed, or if you should watch for a specific warning sign.
The invoice covers the approved work. If you have a membership, the discount and waived callout are applied on that invoice.
What We Come Out For
The same dispatch process covers residential and commercial calls across the GTA and nearby cities, including:

- Water damage restoration
- Basement waterproofing
- Natural gas services
- HVAC services
- Septic pumping
- Basement underpinning

After The Visit
Keep the invoice and follow any shutoff or maintenance notes the technician left. If the same symptom comes back, call the same number and mention the recent visit so dispatch can send the right technician.
