Faucet and fixture upgrades

Small plumbing problems add up. A dripping faucet wastes water every day, a seized shutoff valve leaves you stuck in an emergency, and a dated fixture can make a kitchen or bathroom feel older than it is. Plumber On Demand repairs and upgrades faucets, valves and fixtures for homes across Ontario, so they work reliably and stop wasting water.

Fixture work we handle

  • Faucet repair for dripping, leaking or low-flow kitchen and bathroom faucets
  • Faucet installation for new kitchen, bathroom and laundry faucets
  • Shower valves and shower heads, including temperature and pressure problems
  • Shutoff valves under sinks and toilets, and main shutoff valve replacement
  • Outdoor hose bibs, including frost-free replacements for Ontario winters
  • Small installs such as dishwasher, fridge water line and laundry connections

Repairing a dripping faucet

Most faucet drips come from worn cartridges, washers or O-rings. We identify the faucet type, replace the worn parts and test it so it shuts off cleanly. If the faucet is corroded, cracked or parts are no longer available, we will recommend a replacement instead of a repair that will not last.

Faucet and fixture upgrades

Upgrading a faucet or fixture is one of the simplest ways to refresh a kitchen or bathroom. We install the faucet you choose, or help you pick one that fits your sink, countertop and water pressure. Newer low-flow faucets and shower heads can reduce water use without a noticeable drop in performance.

Why shutoff valves matter

Every sink, toilet and appliance should have a working shutoff valve, so a leak can be stopped in seconds instead of shutting off water to the whole house. Older multi-turn valves often seize or start leaking when they are finally used. Replacing them with modern quarter-turn valves during another repair is a small job that can save a lot of damage later.

Faucet and Fixture Repair and Upgrades FAQs

Is it worth fixing a dripping faucet?

Yes. A steady drip can waste a surprising amount of water over a year and can stain sinks. Most drips are fixed by replacing a cartridge or washer.

Can you install a faucet I bought myself?

Yes. We can install a faucet or fixture you have already purchased, and we will let you know if any extra parts are needed to connect it properly.

How do I know if a shutoff valve needs replacing?

If the valve is hard to turn, will not stop the water fully, or drips from the handle, it should be replaced. Quarter-turn valves are a reliable upgrade.

Do you replace outdoor hose bibs?

Yes. We replace leaking or cracked hose bibs and can install frost-free models that are less likely to freeze and split in winter.
